Collecting Letters for Canadian Forces Soldiers

Good morning!

I will be collecting hard-copy letters (or cards) to send to Canadian Troops overseas. Anyone, any age, can write a letter.  So get your kids, their friends, grandparents, etc. to start writing!  Get your children's or adults sports and activity groups involved!

In your letter, include as much or little info as you are comfortable with (name, town, etc.).

They will be addressed to "Any Canadian Forces Member."  Put your letter or card in a blank envelope (I will address them, as it is very specific) and don't seal the envelope please. It also cannot contain anything other than correspondence (no objects or donations).

Letters will be sent to numerous Operations, such as Kabul, Kandahar, Egypt, Haiti, Missle East, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Afghanistan, Congo, Cyprus, Nunavut, Golan Heights, Kosovo, or Jerusalum.

It is not specific to Christmas, but the holidays are an especially hard time for troops away from families, so feel free to talk about the Holidays with them.

Also, to help ease the financial cost of postage to the CF, please contribute a few dollars to help get your letter to get overseas.

Any other questions? Just ask!

MY GOAL 500 letters!

Dreamboards

As I start my new adventure of blogging, and try to figure out just what to write, I have started exploring my friends' blogs, to see what it's all about.  It has been an amazing experience to get to know friends from a different point of view!
One of my truly inspirational gal-pals has a brilliant idea about Dreamboards - anyone can do it!  The idea is, you create a board, like a collage, with all of your goals, dreams, hopes, etc., and post it somewhere that you'll see it daily.  This visual reminder of where you're going and what you're aiming for makes it easier to stay on track and attain what you want.  And it seems like it would be a lot of fun to find the pictures, etc. to represent the things you wish to include on it.
Also, it is a great tool if you are in a relationship - do one together and discover eachothers hopes and dreams, and then aim to achieve together!  I'm going to start mine and already have soo many ideas of what to include!  I'll let you know when I'm done, and post a pic.
