Final Day : (

Day 18, and our trip comes to a close.

Some are moving on to Bolivia, some to the Antarctica, and some back home.

We flew from Cusco to Lima, saying our goodbyes to Bobby at the airport. Once in Lima we shuttled to Los Girasoles hotel.

A quick trip back to the Indian Market (Mercado Indio) for a poncho and more funky pants, and then went down to LarcoMar mall to enjoy our last evening. Everyone met up at Tony Roma's, and we ate and drank the night away together, before Mom and I left for our 1:00am flight home.

Bring out the crazy in us all...

MAXINE, the organizer

MARTINA, the baby

DEBBIE, the backup boss

ROGER, the testosterone of the group

KRYSTLE, Roger's drinking partner

KATRINA, the Princess

And last, but certainly not least, with an 83rd Birthday tomorrow, comes the eldest, wisest, but obviously not maturest, "JOAN, the Trooper!!!"

(YES, THOSE ARE STRAWS UP HER NOSE. NO, WE DIDN'T PIN HER DOWN. YES, SHE DID THAT ON HER OWN AND WILLINGLY!!! LMAO, AN AMAZING LADY!)

Thank you, all of you, for a wonderful trip! I will be back to haunt you all in Australia sometime! XxXxX

Day 17. Peru. Qosqo.

This morning brought a well-needed "lie-in" (damn Aussies, lol)... "Sleep in," for those of us who speak real English ; )

Then it was off with Martina to pick up Bobby's goodbye/thank you present (no, spellcheck, not Booby), and find the Coca Museum... We didn't find the coca museum...

We met up for lunch with Mom and Katrina, at Paddy's Pub (Irish), and then...

Martina and I were off to claim the streets and hills of San Blas again, for date #2... Tattoo time! Now, I know I've been building this up a little, as I was so super duper excited for it... So if you look at these pictures and think, "What's so great?", don't worry, I agree : ( It didn't wind up being quite what I wanted, but I'm stuck with it now. Que sera sera?

The "grampa" was existing... I love that tattoo...

And the coca leaves and two flowers (for me and my Mom) were to go below it.

FINISHED PRODUCT. (I KNOW, NOT HORRIBLE, BUT NOT SUPER SPECIAL, EITHER). BIGGER THAN ANTICIPATED, AND MUCH LESS DETAIL THAN ANTICIPATED. TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE :)

This evening we relaxed and then went for a lovely dinner beside Uchu. Bobby's lovely daughter joined us for dinner, and we all had a chuckle when she ordered triple chocolate dessert with a cappuccino... He said, "I told you, we don't eat supper here." Lol. Finished off the evening giving Bobby an engraved, personalized glass beer mug for his chitcha, which I think he really liked, drank Applesons (vanilla vodka, blended green apple, and apple liquer), and went to the rooftop terrace to see the great view of the city lights.

Goodnight, Cusco!
