My cankles were finally gone this morning; I was kind of getting attached to those!

I made my first exciting souvenir purchase today! While waiting for the taxi I was drawn to home-made feather dusters (REAL chicken feathers!!! lmao) that an old lady was selling on her bike... She tried to tell me they were 50,000VND - yeah right! I paid her 27,000VND (about $1.40) and walked away with my prized purchase as she laughed, probably because I knew better than to pay 50,000 but still paid 5x the local price - haha.

Today was slightly eventful for an uneventful day as we made our way south to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) city by plane, and then further southwest to Can Tho by bus.
We had to fight our way onto the flight, beating down 5-foot-nothings that we dubbed Half-Pint Pecker-Heads... Just kidding, there was no beating involved, but I'm not sure what's worse: Knowing people are pulling a fast one on you or letting them think you don't know they're pulling a fast one on you - Lol - Whatever floats their boat, I guess :)
On arrival in HCMC we made our way (by a long taxi ride) to the bus station... The WRONG bus station, might I add! FAIL! So another bout of mildly-stressful bartering later, we were in Taxi #2 en route to Bus Station #2. So far the only thing we've accomplished in HCMC is supporting taxi fares!
So, after two 45-min/200,000VND ($10) taxi fares, Pringles, and a prayer we got to the right bus depot to get our 4-hour/120,000VND ($6) bus ride to Can Tho - where I got gipped 30,000VND in change for chips!
After 1.5 hours of taxiing around Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), we can both say it doesn't have the same feel as Ha Noi did. Hopefully we can find a friendly area to stay in once we get back from Can Tho tomorrow.
