Above, we watched a little bird who had caught a fish (?piranha). The fish was much bigger than the bird, and it was so neat to watch it flip it around in its beak and hit it on the branch to break it up into smaller pieces. This took quite an effort by the little bird; after 20min he still hadn't gotten a bite and was still working away at it when he flew off.

Beautiful lake, above. We went swimming. No giant otters came to swim with us today :(
This afternoon, after siesta, we went on a jeep safari to look for giant anteaters. Although we saw some need birds, like a relative to the secretary bird, and two burrowing owls, which were quite small and very cute, we were not able to find any anteaters :( We did, however, find some macaws, the largest of the parrot group, and many parakeets, which both mate for life!
Supper was amazing, as always. I'm loosing track of what we ate, but it may have involved some homemade pasta (or was that last night?), traditional beef dishes, and of course, dessert and coffee!
