ABOVE, A PICTURE OF CITY HALL. IT WAS A GORGEOUS BUILDING, WITH AMAZING WOOD DOOR AND BALCONY DETAIL. INSIDE WAS EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL (and completely unexpected), WITH BLACK TILE FLOORS, WALL MURALS, AND MORE GREAT WOOD DETAIL.
At the Indian market we bought a few things, and were inclined to buy a few more, but the trip is still young and we have a lot of traveling (aka carrying) still to do.
Spending more time than planned at the market, we quickly headed down to LarcoMar, a big shopping centre built overlooking a great reef. When we got to the end of Larco Avenue (where LarcoMar was supposed to be), we couldn't see anything obvious (as below).....

.....But I said, "Mom we better just go look over those railings..." I'm not sure why, but I just had a feeling. So we went to look over, and low and behold, the shopping centre is built into the side of the cliff! All the grass you see in the picture above is the roof of the three-story shopping mall!

ABOVE, THE VIEW FROM OVER THE RAILINGS.
We didn't do much shopping, but walked around admiring the place, which included a huge bowling alley, multi-movie theatre, over 100 stores, and about 20 restaurants. By now we had worked up an appetite so went to the Mango for a bite overlooking the ocean and all of the surfers and paragliders below and above us.

At 1:30pm we hurried back to Los Girasoles Hotel (excellent, by the way) for our group meeting at 2:00pm. There are five other travellers in our group (one is MIA), all from Australia, including a 34 y/o travel agent (turning 35 if four days), a mid50/60's couple, and a lovely lady who will be turning 83 on the last day of our trip!
After the meeting we had some free time so headed out towards Huaca Pacllna (I so did not spell that right!), but the clouds came over so we changed plans and went for a drink at the square and watched a soccer match instead. : )
Now off for a lovely local dinner with our group and local leader, Bobby.
Buenos noche, amigos! XxXx
